Front hub oil level verification
Make sure the vehicle is resting on a flat level surface.
Verify the level of the lubricating oil in both wheel hubs (Figure 1).
Correct oil level is visible at the bottom of the window, between the ADD line and the FULL line.
- If necessary, remove the filler cap and add 75W-90 hypoid oil.
Do not overfill. Too much oil can seep out of the hub and contaminate the braking system.
If there are signs of oil contamination, remove the drain plug, drain the contaminated oil, and refill with fresh oil.
Replace the filler cap.

Rear axle wheel ends verification
Rear wheel hub inspection
- Verify that no oil is leaking from the axle flange of both rear wheel hubs and that all 8 nuts are present (Figure 2).
