12-12 Brake Pedal Verification
Locate brake pedal assembly underneath the dashboard.
Verify that the brake pedal is not deformed (no more than 5° offset from vertical). It must aligned with the master cylinder pushrod.
- If there is a torque mark on the brake pedal pivot pin and nut, confirm it is still correctly aligned.
- If no torque mark is visible, or if misaligned, retorque the nut to 135 Nm (100 lb-ft). Apply a new torque mark for future reference.
